Spring is officially underway, bringing with it plenty of fun things to do outside with the family. Whether that be evenings at the ball fields, weekends at the farmer’s market, or daily strolls through your neighborhood, spending time with family is always the best thing you can do!

Jason and Rachel Chandler have walked through life together since they met while working at Great Harvest Bread Co. off of Due West Road in high school. Jason was working as a baker at the time while Rachel was hired for a work study program during her senior year. The love that began there has grown to include three beautiful children with lots of personality: Brinley — age 8, Skyler — age 5, and Parker — age 2.
Jason grew up in Paulding County and went on to graduate from New Orleans Theological Seminary. Rachel graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
After the two got married in June 2009, they moved with a team from West Ridge Church to plant Genesis Church in Orlando, Florida. While there, Jason served as one of the founding pastors as well as the worship pastor, and Rachel taught at a local elementary school.
After 5 years of investing into Orlando, Jason, Rachel, and their firstborn Brinley moved back up to Paulding and joined West Ridge Church. Jason now serves as the worship pastor at West Ridge and Rachel moved to being a full time mom in order to welcome two new babies into the world.

Brinley, their oldest, is their natural leader. She likes to take on a “little momma” role and help where she can! She is strong, loving, and loves to show love through acts of service.
Skyler, their five year old, is Jason and Rachel’s “girly girl” and is full of kindness! She loves to encourage with her words and is excited to start kindergarten in the fall.
Parker is a big ball of joy — carefree and affectionate! He will do anything for a laugh and keeps the whole family on their toes. He loves basketball, baseball, and anything to do with superheroes!
Spring for the Chandlers usually results in family walks through their neighborhood, trips to the park and just enjoying each other’s company. Their family dinners are one of their favorite times in their home. They gather around the table and ask their kids about their days — who was kind to them, how they were helpful, or even something that made them laugh! “It always sparks great conversations and gives us a glimpse at life through their eyes,” Rachel says.
Jason leads an incredible team at West Ridge Church and Rachel loves serving on the Guest Services team each Sunday. Getting to serve and attend church together as a family is such a blessing! Life with young kids is always full of firsts to look forward to — Brinley starting gymnastics, Skyler beginning ballet, and Parker joining his first ever tball team in the fall!
